My Creative Vision
My creative vision is rooted in curiosity about how we connect to images, and how certain forms, textures, and symbols stay with us long after we’ve seen them. I’m especially drawn to nature’s patterns, and to water’s endless ability to mirror emotion. Sometimes a story unfolds entirely in-camera, shaped by the interplay of light, texture, and timing. Other times, it evolves through painterly post-processing, layering photographs into compositions that feel both timeless and new. This process allows me to bridge the tangible with the imagined, crafting pieces that live in the quiet space where reality shifts into something more surreal.
Influences
My background in fine art, art history, and art therapy shapes how I approach image-making. The tactile qualities of painting, the rich textures and layered meanings of surrealism, and the raw emotional energy of expressionism all inform my work. I am also drawn to the quiet realism of early-to-mid 20th-century American painters such as Andrew Wyeth, whose ability to capture atmosphere and stillness deeply resonates with me. Alongside these artistic influences, I find endless inspiration in the shifting patterns of nature — especially water — for its ability to reflect, distort, and reveal.
Where We Meet
Ultimately, I hope my art stirs something within you, a memory, a question, a sense of connection. Because art, at its heart, is not only about the artist’s vision, but about the shared space it creates between the work and the viewer.
